Ege Demir becomes 7th Duck to enter transfer portal

Center Ege Demir has decided to enter the transfer portal, becoming the 7th Duck to do so this offseason.

The Oregon Ducks men's basketball roster is thinning very quickly with the opening of the transfer portal. On Wednesday, junior center Ege Demir became the seventh Duck to enter the portal since it opened on Apr. 5, joining Jackson Shelstad, Kwame Evans Jr.

, Wei Lin, Dezdrick Lindsay, Devon Pryer and JJ Frakes. Demir joined the Oregon program after three seasons in the Turkey Basketball Super League, where he served a primarily bench role. During the 2024-25 campaign, he averaged 5.

0 points, 4. 9 rebounds and 1. 0 blocks per game.

During his time with the Ducks, Demir battled a shoulder injury that limited him to 19 games. He averaged 2. 2 points and 3.
