Bemidji stays unbeaten, sweeps triangular against Fergus Falls and Mora
Apr. 8—FERGUS FALLS — The Bemidji High School boys tennis team found one of the few available sets of playable tennis courts in the state of Minnesota on Wednesday. The Lumberjacks moved their home triangular to Fergus Falls to take on the Otters and Mora.
BHS came back with a pair of wins and improved to 4-0. In their first match, the Jacks beat Mora 5-2. Owen Lappinga and Blake Friese picked up wins in straight sets at Nos.
1 and 3 singles, respectively. The duos of Chase Fairchild and Peter Mathews, Ethan Frank and Logan Berg, and Paul Gifford and Hudson Moussa surrendered just six total games to sweep the doubles slate. Bemidji cruised to a 7-0 win over Fergus Falls, losing just nine games in the seven matches.
Thursday's triangular against Moorhead and Sauk Rapids-Rice has been moved to Sauk Rapids. The Jacks will also compete in Detroit Lakes on Friday at 3 p. m in a dual.
