The franchise of Yogi Berra has produced a whole chunk of Major League Baseball's current catchers. By one count, there are nine catchers in MLB right now who rose through the Yankees' system. That includes three who are still with New York: Ben Rice (who normally plays first base), Austin Wells and JC Escarra.

There's Carlos Narvaez, with the hated rival Red Sox. Luis Torrens of the Mets came up through the Yankees' system. How about Agustin Ramirez with the Miami Marlins ?

He went that way in the Jazz Chisholm Jr. trade and has some of the best power of any catcher in baseball. Former fan favorite Kyle Higashioka now plays for the Texas Rangers .
