Arizona Cardinals officially re-sign Joshua Karty, P.J. Mustipher
The Cardinals announced the signing of two players we all knew were returning in 2026.
The Arizona Cardinals kicked off their offseason program on Tuesday, and announced two roster moves that were formalities. Kicker Joshua Karty and defensive lineman P. J.
Mustipher both signed their one-year tenders as exclusive rights free agents. Exclusive rights free agents are players with less than three credited seasons whose contract expired. If a team offers them a tender, their only option is to sign it or not play.
They cannot sign elsewhere. The Cardinals chose not to tender one exclusive rights free agent — tight end Travis Vokolek. Vokolek suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 5.
We can assume he wasn't tendered because he isn't healthy. Karty was signed from the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad late last season but never played a game for the Cardinals. In eight games for the Rams last season, he made 10-of-15 field goals and 23-of-26 extra points.
