Kevin Holland not flustered by losing skid entering UFC 327
Kevin Holland enters UFC 327 with back-to-back losses but he doesn't feel burdened by it.
MIAMI – Kevin Holland has a different perspective on his losing skid going into Saturday's UFC 327 showdown with Randy Brown. Although he dropped his past two fights to Mike Malott and Daniel Rodriguez on paper, Holland (28-15 MMA, 15-12 UFC) doesn't carry the burden of the defeats going into his welterweight bout with Brown (20-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) at Kaseya Center in Miami ( Paramount+ ). "They don't feel like losses, but at the end of the day, they are losses," Holland told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Wednesday's UFC 327 media day.
"It doesn't feel like I lost a combat match, but I lost a competition. Got to get it right competition-wise. " Holland, 33, has previously stated that he needs to fight with a more "pissed off" mindset to get a better result.
He somewhat walked that back, but seemingly doesn't need any extra drive to get his hand raised this weekend. "Either way, pissed off or happy, it's always the same results, and I have a good time," Holland said. "Ultimately, the guy has called me out a few times, and they always have this code, 'Don't fight another guy like you.
