The Tigers prepare to host a group of priority prospects for their Spring Elite Day. On that list falls a 4-star prospect at linebacker.

Clemson ’s recruiting efforts continue this weekend as the Tigers prepare to host a group of priority prospects for their Spring Elite Day, including 2028 linebacker Jay Schell. Schell, a 6-foot-3, 214-pound prospect out of Rabun Gap, Georgia, announced he's coming back to Clemson for yet another visit. This weekend gives both parties another chance to keep stoking a flame built through multiple visits.

Even though its still early in the 2028 cycle, Schell is already being recognized as a promising defensive player. Qualities that he is known for are his size and versatility at the linebacker position. Clemson's staff has focused on bringing younger prospects like Schell to campus so they can see how the program works, what the facilities are like, and who the coaches are.
