NEOSHO, Mo. — Crowder College’s baseball team tallied 14 hits combined with strong pitching Tuesday for a 13-1 run-rule win over Neosho County Community College at Crowder. The Roughriders got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Ryan Stalony crushed a line drive homer over the left field fence and plated Spencer Mounce, who legged out a triple in the previous Crowder at-bat.

The Panthers trimmed the Roughriders’ lead to one in the top of the third off a Lars Koester solo homer over the right field fence. Crowder got that run back and more in the bottom of the fourth. Carson Arnold swatted a line drive triple to center field that scored Stalony, and Cade Palmer made it a 4-1 Crowder lead when he drove in Arnold with a line drive single to right.

Will Beaudoin increased the lead to 5-1 when he scored on a Camren Stratton sacrifice fly to center field, and Brady Nolen made it a 7-1 game when he doubled and sent Maddox Morrison and Rylan Michel across the plate. The lead ballooned to 9-1 in the bottom of the fifth when Beaudoin sent the ball over the left field fence, plating Palmer. Crowder bats did not stop there.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Roughriders tallied four more runs. Mounce hit a double into center field and scored Michel and Stratton, Stalony drove in Nolen with a single to center, and Palmer made it 13-1 when he plated Mounce with a line drive single to center. The bottom of the Roughriders lineup provided most of the offensive firepower.

Will Beaudoin collected six total bases for Crowder after going 3 for 4 with two RBIs, including a two-run homer and two runs. Stalony logged five total bases and finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs. Palmer was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run, and Arnold went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI.
