Browns veteran cornerback has high praise for reigning DROY
The veteran had a strong statement on how good he thinks the young linebacker is.
It was a bit of a shock for fans when the Cleveland Browns used the 33rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft to take a linebacker, especially considering he only had one year of production. But after one year, it seems they made the right decision, taking Carson Schwesinger, with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah's future still up in the air. Schwesinger stepped in as a leader on defense and won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
Speaking with the media on Wednesday , Browns veteran corner Tyson Campbell, who was acquired in a trade from Jacksonville during the season, had high praise for Schwesinger. He said that Schwesinger "can be one of the greats to ever play in this league. " That's high praise, but if Schwesinger can maintain and improve on his rookie performance, he would be well on his way to being one of the top linebackers in the NFL.
The talent and work ethic are there for him to be great, and I'm excited to see how he plays this season. This article originally appeared on Browns Wire: Tyson Campbell praises Carson Schwesinger
