Within the last four months, he's not only tied the knot with his high school sweetheart and moved into his first marital home, he's also inked a huge contract extension with the Pittsburgh Pirates that will see him earning a staggering $140 million over the next nine years. The news of Griffin's contract extension was confirmed by the Pirates on Wednesday, with the team posting a statement on X announcing that the teenager ball player has committed to the Pittsburgh-based side through 2034.

Pirates chair Bob Nutting also issued a statement to ESPN in which he praised Mississippi native Griffin as being a shining example of the team's values, both on and off the field.
