Is BYU transfer Robert Wright III a fit for Villanova?
The Wildcats have a hole at point guard that needs to be filled for the 2026-27 season.

It makes sense that Kevin Willard would be interested in the top point guard, and one of the best overall players, on the market. The question remains — is Villanova a fit? The answer might be yes and no.
On the court, Wright is a definite fit and the type of elite player needed. He averaged 18. 1 points and 4.
6 assists per game in his only season at BYU. Wright’s defense leaves much to be desired. Lewis set the freshman program record for steals in a single season so the Wildcats like a backcourt that can defend.
