What makes his performance stand out even more is the fact that it seemed like he was going to be taken out after the sixth inning, but he convinced Red Sox manager Alex Cora to go out in the seventh inning for a little more work.
After the game, he opened up and shed some light on the conversation . "Yeah, I just said that I have another zero in me if you need it," Gray said to the media after Wednesday's win over Milwaukee. "I didn't know where our bullpen really stood or where we were at.

' So, we just moved forward and then in the seventh, he made the decision I faced the first two and then I came out. "And you know [Greg Weissert] came in and shut it down, right. That was a huge pitch in the 3-2 count.
