Michigan State goalie enters the NCAA transfer portal

•Yahoo Sports

Michigan State has lost a goalie to the transfer portal.

With the transfer portal being in full swing, Michigan State hockey has seen one of its first casualties leave the program. The Spartans are losing goaltender Dolan Gilbert, who was a fan favorite in East Lansing. Gilbert, a third-string goaltender this past season, played in two games in his Spartans career, while being selfless in the role of the third goalie on a roster.

Beginning his collegiate career at Concordia (Wisconsin), where he appeared in 10 games, it is more than likely that he is finding a place where he can receive more playing time. Michigan State will have Melvin Strahl and Joshua Ravensbergen as their goalies in 2026-27.
