"In the back of my mind, I was like 'I can't wait for us to win it.'" Michigan football celebrated on the streets after basketball national title.

A wide smile stretched across Blake Frazier's face when he was asked about what happened earlier this week. The son of a Wolverine and a lifelong fan, Frazier, currently a Michigan football redshirt freshman offensive tackle, roots for all things Michigan. So when Michigan basketball won the national championship with a 69-63 victory over UConn on Monday, April 6, he went out on the streets of Ann Arbor to celebrate − just like thousands of others .

"Yeah, I watched them with teammates. Ended up in South View until I couldn't control which way I was getting shoved. And that's why I decided to call it a night," Frazier said Wednesday in Ann Arbor.

"But it was unbelievable to see, talk about creating a team, your five starters transfer in and to win a national championship. "As a Michigan fan, love to see it. As a Michigan student, love to see it.

It was really exciting. " For others, there were even more layers of motivation. Chris Bracy, a transfer safety from Memphis, had previously been at UAB and overlapped with Yaxel Lendeborg 's first season there.
