Boston won a series and notched consecutive wins for the first time this season. The Red Sox improved to 4-8 with help from Willson Contreras, who tallied his fifth RBI and sixth run scored of 2026. Contreras reflected on the triumph in a post-game interview with NESN's Jahmai Webster .
"We needed this," Contreras said. "We needed this win. We needed this series win.
We came out last night to play ball. We won last night; we won today. Hopefully we carry this winning streak into the road trip.
