Packers hosted college football playoff quarterback for visit
Behren Morton had a visit to Green Bay this week, the first quarterback to come in this cycle.

The Packers are limited to just 30 of these pre-draft visits and usually end up targeting the players who come in, either as draft choices, undrafted free agents or down the line.
Unlike the majority of the stars on Texas Tech’s team, particularly on defense, Morton wasn’t a transfer. While David Bailey ( #3 on the consensus draft board ), Jacob Rodriguez (#45), Lee Hunter (#47) and Romello Height (#75) made offenses’ lives hell, Morton was in charge of putting up points when the Red Raiders had the ball. Morton is the son of a high school football coach who sat behind Tyler Shough, who eventually transferred to Louisville and is now the starting quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, early on in his college career.
In 2024, he became the full-time starter for the first time and has posted a 26-10 record as a quarterback while at Texas Tech. Morton only played in 12 of Tech’s 14 games last season because of a fractured leg and a hit to the head that knocked him out of the game against Utah. At the combine, Morton measured in at 6’2” and 211 pounds with 9.
5” hands, which checks the boxes at the NFL. At his pro day, he ran a 4. 89-second 40-yard dash according to Dane Brugler’s The Beast.
