State Attorney seeking copies of Tiger Woods' prescription medication

Woods was arrested March 27 after a two-vehicle crash in Jupiter Island and is facing charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

The state of Florida is seeking copies of all of Tiger Woods ' prescription medication in connection with Woods' recent car crash and arrest for DUI. State attorney Thomas Bakkedahl filed notice on April 7 that he plans to subpoena Woods’ prescription records from Jan. 1, 2026 to March 27, 2026, including “all prescription medication on file … to include date and time prescription was filled” along with “all special instructions on how to take the medication” and “all warnings including but not limited to operating a motor vehicle while taking the prescription.

” Woods, 50, was arrested March 27 after a two-vehicle crash in Jupiter Island and is facing charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He passed a breath test but refused to submit to a urinalysis. A search of Woods' pocket found two pills revealed to be hydrocodone, a strong opioid painkiller.

Meanwhile, a private jet owned by Woods landed in Zurich, Switzerland in the early morning hours of April 3, a possible sign of where the PGA Tour legend will seek treatment following his DUI arrest. Woods had been granted permission to leave the United States to seek that treatment.

Woods, who had been recovering from back surgery, had hoped to play in the Masters. His absence has been a topic of discussion this week in Augusta, Georgia. While responders were retrieving his golf clubs from the back of his Land Rover following the accident on Jupiter Island, not far from his home, the subject of the 15-time major champion playing the Masters was raised.
