Jets reportedly not looking into one move involving Breece Hall
The Jets franchise tagged Breece Hall and this reportedly won't be up next.
The New York Jets have franchise tagged running back Breece Hall this offseason, locking him up with the Green and White for the 2026 NFL season. After placing the tag on Hall, the team has expressed a desire to lock Hall up to a long-term deal. General manager Darren Mougey did so even before the franchise tag happened .
“We’ll find a way to keep Breece here if we can’t get a deal done,” Mougey said. "The tags are an option. Ideally, we’d find a way to get a deal done and keep Breece around.
" But if that does not happen before the July 15th deadline this offseason, could the Jets change their mind? At this time, it doesn't seem like that is ever going to be an option for the Jets according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. The NFL insider said it would be "surprising" to see Hall depart New York in a "tag-and-trade" scenario in a recent Q&A mailbox.
