Texas football is still in the mix to flip Benny Easter Jr. The talented Texas Tech wide receiver commit just visited the Longhorns.

As theย  Texas Longhorns ย look to add to their 2027 class, they are still chasing one of the nation's top recruits. Talented wide receiver Benny Easter Jr. was in Austin for an unofficial visit on Tuesday, according to OrangeBloods writer Jason Suchomel.

The Texas native is committed to Texas Tech, but the Longhorns are doing their best to bring him to Austin. During his high school career, Easter has been a weapon whenever he steps on the field. The Summer Creek High star caught 89 passes for 1,309 yards and found the end zone 19 times during the 2025 campaign.

While averaging 14. 8 yards per catch, he was a key piece of a Summer Creek team that finished with a 12-2 record. Texas Tech WR commitment and national top-50 prospect Benny Easter is in Austin today for a #Longhorns unofficial visit.

Big development here. He recently visited Ohio State and schools like Bama, LSU and Ole Miss are all in pursuit. @orangebloods_ @BennyEaste12886 โ€” Jason Suchomel (@OB_JasonS) April 7, 2026 Before committing to Texas Teach, Easter was a popular player on the recruiting trail.
