Where FSU softball lands in Softball America's newest bracketology
The Florida State Seminoles are on a 24 game winning streak, but have slid a spot in Softball America's newest bracketology.
The FSU softball team is on a 24-game winning streak and sits atop the ACC softball standings with a perfect 12-0 conference record. That has earned them the No. 6 ranking in Softball America's latest top 25, but where are they in their newest bracketology for the NCAA Tournament?
While they are still a No. 1 seed, they have fallen to the No. 11 overall seed, a one-spot slide from Softball America's previous projection.
They are still set to host the Tallahassee Regional, welcoming UCF, Missouri, and Bryant to town. The regional is matched up with the Gainesville Regional, putting FSU and Florida on a collision course if both advance to the Super Regional round. The Seminoles are one of eight ACC teams in the projection, with the Duke Blue Devils and Virginia Tech Hokies all earning No.
1 seeds. The SEC leads the country with 14 teams in the field of 64. FSU will have a chance to boost its resume this week when they play Santa Clara on Wednesday night.
