Jizzle James, who played three seasons for Cincinnati Bearcats basketball, has entered the transfer portal.

Given his relationship with former Cincinnati Bearcats coach Wes Miller, it's not surprising that Jizzle James will not return to play for new UC coach Jerrod Calhoun. ESPN's Jeff Borzello reported the April 8 move, which UC confirmed. Miller had recruited James out of Orlando as the point guard of the future and James played three seasons for the Bearcats.

The past season was shortened somewhat as James didn't rejoin the team until December after being on the sidelines resolving "personal issues" that had separated him from the 2025-26 team in August. James was spotted at a UC game Dec. 1 vs.

Tarleton State , then accompanied the team to Atlanta Dec. 13 when they faced Georgia. James sat on the bench in street clothes, but made his season debut Dec.

17 vs. Alabama State, scoring 16 points off the bench . James was back in the starting lineup Dec.
