"Yes we have (appealed against it) and we expect to hear later on today," Pompey boss John Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent. "I'm hopeful, everyone I have spoken to is in agreement about it not being a red, there's plenty of factors to take into account and we have to prove that the referee has made a serious error. "I spoke about the challenge after the game and still feel that Connor doesn't need to make it, I'd say it's a yellow card.
