Julian Edelman breaks down Patriots 2026 signings (Exclusive)

BOSTON, Mass — The New England Patriots lost some key players in free agency, but they also made some intriguing additions. And Julian Edelman is excited to see what each player is going to bring to the table this season in Foxborough. When speaking with Patriots Wire on Saturday night during an exclusive conversation at the Sam Adams Our City Our Beer launch party, the legendary wide receiver provided a detailed run-down on all three of the team's big moves.

"I think they've done a lot of good stuff," Edelman said. "And it's not over. They still have the draft to address.

" And he kicked things off by talking about Dre'Mont Jones, an edge defender who split time during the 2025 season with the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens, finishing with a career-high seven sacks. "Bringing in Jones from Baltimore, a big, solidified run stop and defensive end to match (Christian) Barmore and Milton Williams," he explained. " I think that's going to be huge.

The box is going to be big. " Next up was Alijah Vera-Tucker, a former first-round pick by the New York Jets, who has dealt with a lot of injuries, but when healthy, gives the Patriots a strong starting left guard. "I think that's another good addition," Edelman said.
