4 free agent wide receivers for Falcons to consider after NFL draft

Falcons should consider signing one of these 4 free agent wide receivers

So far the Atlanta Falcons' haul in free agency has been underwhelming at best. Recently, a slew of NFL executives told The Athletic that they simply don't understand what Atlanta has been up to this offseason. The biggest ticket item has been signing former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson, a move which has been widely panned and named by Pro Football Focus as their least-favorite by the Falcons.

Dotson may function as a decent WR3, but Atlanta will have to add more firepower at this spot if they're serious about winning the NFC South anytime soon. With just five picks to make in the 2026 NFL draft, that means their best hope is likely to sign one of the remaining veteran free agent receivers still on the market. Here are four to consider.

Deebo Samuel Outside of Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs, the biggest name at wide receiver who's still unsigned is that of Deebo Samuel, a one-time All-Pro for the 49ers who has apparently fallen out of favor with Kyle Shanahan. Even though he's now on the wrong side of 30 years old, Samuel can still be productive. He posted 72 catches, 727 receiving yards and five touchdowns last season.

Samuel comes with plus size, strength and massive YAC ability, which would add a whole new dimension to Atlanta's passing attack. Jauan Jennings Clearly Shanahan thinks he can compete without paying receivers, because there's another very good option who the Niners have allowed to hit the market at this spot. Jauan Jennings is two years younger than Samuel and is coming off a breakout season, having put up 55 catches, 643 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025.
