The Cast Of Characters May Change, But The Brewers Just Keep Winning

The Brew Crew has perfected winning on a budget. Most of their stars eventually leave, but they draft and develop expertly, know which players to keep, and which to deal.

The Milwaukee Brewers continue to be the bane of the existence of the other 29 MLB teams - and also of those who believe that team payroll is the sole driver of team success, creating a need for a salary cap to rein in the game’s biggest spenders. There is a pretty handy guidebook to being a Brewers’ fan. It’s a pretty heady gig for the most part - perennial winning and contention seems to be pretty much guaranteed.

There’s one big caveat, however - don’t get too attached to your star players, because most of them are going to leave once they have to be paid market value in free agency. Josh Hader, Corbin Burnes? Goodbye.

Devin Williams? Willy Adames? Goodbye.
