Vale ready for chaotic end to survival bid - Brady

Port Vale boss Jon Brady said he is preparing his squad as much as he can for the "chaotic" final phase of their survival bid in League One. Vale's spirited 1-0 win against Rotherham on Tuesday kept their very slim chances of avoiding relegation alive but still left them 14 points adrift of safety at the bottom. Their survival hopes depend on winning most, if not all, of their remaining seven games.

Despite securing just their eighth victory of the season, thanks to Ryan Croasdale's sixth-minute strike, Brady said he is not about to get carried away with setting targets. "We are where we are because of consistency and obviously we haven't scored enough goals," he told BBC Radio Stoke. "I'm not going to say we're going to go on a run now or anything like that - we've got some really really tough challenges ahead.

"We're going to be competitive and work hard but seven games in 19 days is a game every 2. 7 days so it's going to be chaotic," Brady said. "Hopefully we can get a lot of the players through that especially when the games are coming around that thick and fast - you might have to play one team on the Tuesday and another team somehow on the Thursday.
