Bucs legendary linebacker disses Jalen Hurts’ passing ability

Bucs legend questions Jalen Hurts passing ability.

It’s been a hard few weeks for Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. He’s been dragged through the mud by people like former NFL MVP Cam Newton, who said he doesn’t think Hurts is the nice guy people think he is. He was also criticized by an insider with the Eagles who called the Super Bowl MVP “uncoachable.

” Now, here comes former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonta David, who basically said the Bucs weren’t scared of Hurts as a passer. In fact, he said they never felt threatened by Hurts. “Jalen Hurts was never a guy we worried about.

Our game plan was always, because they have a great offensive line, stopping the run,” David stated . “You had to be where you’re supposed to be to stop the run, and then that may open up the passing game, but he was never asked to do so much,” David said on “The Arena” podcast. Coming out of college, Hurts was known for his running ability rather than his passing ability.

But he got better as a passer when he was at Oklahoma and under head coach Lincoln Riley. Hurts finished second in the Heisman his senior year at Oklahoma and improved his draft stock. He was picked up in the second round by the Eagles.
