ESPN’s most accurate mock has 2 Notre Dame stars picked in first round

Yahoo Sports

Notre Dame football saw two of its soon-to-be former stars getting picked in the first round of ESPN’s most accurate mock draft.

One of the most respected NFL Mock Draft’s comes from ESPN’s Peter Schrager, and on Tuesday his most recent one was released with two Notre Dame players going in the first round. One is very obvious, star running back Jeremiyah Love, whose stock continues to rise. Schrager has one of the most dynamic players in the draft going No.

4 overall to the Tennessee Titans. Even if he’s wrong, and Love falls, it most likely won’t be far as multiple other teams would love to add the explosive playmaker. After speaking with the Titans GM Mike Borgonzi, he gets the feeling that they’d like an edge rusher, but won’t be able to pass up on Love.

The second Irish player to get mocked in the first round was another back, Jadarian Price. Schrager has him getting picked with the last selection of the first round, No. 32 to the Seattle Seahawks.

He leads off by saying this would make Notre Dame history, as they’ve never had two back taken in the first round of the same draft. Schrager notes there is a big need at the position, as the Seahawks former starter, Kenneth Walker III, has left to test the free agent waters. Price would most likely be the starter from Day 1 as well, there wouldn’t be much competition for the job.
