Two former Washington Commanders landed with news teams and one analyst is a fan of those signings.

Free agency opened last month and by now, most of the biggest names have signed. The Washington Commanders were one of the busier teams in the league, adding plenty of players on both sides of the ball. The most notable signings the Commanders made were edge rusher Odafe Oweh, linebacker Leo Chenal, and tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo .

Elsewhere around the league, several former Commanders inked new deals with different teams. Eric Williams of FOX Sports recently identified the best "under-the-radar" deals of free agency and included were the signings of two former Commanders: Jonathan Allen and Tyler Biadasz. Allen inked a two-year deal worth $25 million with the Cincinnati Bengals while Biadasz signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Allen's deal was ranked fifth on Williams' list while Biadasz's deal was ranked sixth. "Allen joins former Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Boye Mafe and safety Bryan Cook from Kansas City to add reinforcements to a Cincinnati defense that finished No. 30 in scoring last season," Williams explained.

Allen was originally drafted by Washington in the first round of the 2017 draft. The Alabama product spent the first eight seasons of his career with Washington and developed into one of the better defensive linemen in the league. Allen earned Pro Bowl bids in both 2021 and 2022 and racked up 42 sacks in DC.
