Alabama's No. 1 recruit announces commitment decision

The best recruit in Alabama is leaving the state and the SEC for his first year of college football.

Elite class of 2027 cornerback Ai’King Hall has committed to the Oregon Ducks , per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett . Hall was a top target for the Georgia Bulldogs prior to his commitment to Oregon, as the rising star has decided to play for the Ducks in Eugene. At 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Hall is a lengthy, talented cornerback that would have been an excellent fit in the Dawgs’ secondary.

Hall committed to Oregon over Texas, Alabama and Georgia. UGA was among his top landing spots for prior to his commitment. The Alabama native was excellent during his time at Dothan High School.

69 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite rankings . He is ranked as the best player in Alabama. The Bulldogs were unable to land the talented playmaker despite a push until King's final decision was reached.
