If the shutout wasn’t bad enough, the Phillies also lost their Gold Glove catcher, J. T. Realmuto, for the game.
Realmuto, 35, took a foul ball off his right foot/ankle in the bottom of the first inning. The three-time All-Star would leave the game not too long after due to not being able to block a pitch in the dirt effectively. According to manager Rob Thomson, via MLB.
