Augusta National will be without one of its biggest headliners when the Masters kicks off this week. Tiger Woods always figured to be a doubt for this year's tournament. He missed out on the competition in 2025, felled by a torn Achilles he suffered one month before the Masters was set to unfold.
Twelve months on and Woods' status remained shrouded in doubt. The 50-year-old came was still trying to battle back from the lumbar disk surgery he underwent in Oct. 2025.
In late-March, Woods was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors after wrecking his car, one of which was for driving under the influence. The incident served as another setback for Woods, who appears all but likely to take to the Augusta links following his latest dalliance with the law.
