Warrington back-rower Currie extends contract
Warrington Wolves back-rower Ben Currie extends his contract through to the end of 2028.
Ben Currie became the 23rd player to score 100 tries for Warrington when he touched down against York Knights in March [Swpix. com] Warrington Wolves back-rower Ben Currie has extended his contract through to the end of 2028. The 31-year-old England international made his debut for the Wire against Salford in 2012 aged 17 and has gone on to score 102 tries in 320 appearances for the club.
His previous deal was due to expire at the end of this season. "It's fantastic news for the club that Ben has extended for another two years, taking his time here to 17 seasons," head coach Sam Burgess told the club website. "He's part of the fabric of this club, a consistent performer each week, and someone who drives standards every day within the group.
"He's a quality bloke and a valuable asset for the club. "
