The Monroe County Region is blessed with a wealth of talent in softball again in 2026. Cast your vote for who will be the best.
Sarah Giroux has a chance for a rare double. The Flat Rock junior is trying to become the sixth girl to be named Monroe County Region Player of the Year in two sports in the same school year. She captured Volleyball Player of the Year in the fall and will be one of the candidates to claim the same honor for softball this spring.
The only other girl to pull off a double dip in those sports was Jennie Bringman of Bedford in 1991-1992.
