The NCHSAA girls basketball season has concluded, and it's time to vote for postseason awards. Seventy-First took things all the way to the regional Finals at ECU, and battled Terry Sanford for the 6A East title, before falling to the Bulldogs in its first regional finals in over a decade. Terry Sanford claimed its second regional title in three seasons, but was denied its program's first state championship win to Northern Guilford.
Jewel Gully for the Falcons was named Player of the Year in the Eastern Sandhills Conference, while Ameya Brown was crowned the Tri-County Player of the Year, and Jaidiah Blake earned District 4 Player of the Year. In the NCISAA Sandhills Athletic Conference, Freedom Christian's Allison Lett earned POY and pushed the Patriots to a conference title in the regular season and tournament. Now that the season has concluded, the Fans' Choice voting has opened.
