NEWARK, NJ – The Philadelphia Flyers (40-26-12) cruised to a 5-1 win vs. the New Jersey Devils (40-35-3) on Tuesday at the Prudential Center, powered by early scoring in the first two periods and great goaltending. Trevor Zegras and Tyson Foerster each scored twice for the Flyers.

Nick Seeler also added a goal. Cody Glass scored for the Devils. The Flyers got off to a fast start in the first period, scoring twice within the first 4 minutes of the game.

New Jersey then took control of the period and got on the board, but still trailed after 20 minutes. Philadelphia scored twice in the first 5 minutes of the second period and did not let up that time around. A conservative effort in the third period helped them hold on and cruise to the finish line in the win over a division rival, and it was capped off with an empty-net dagger.
