Texas basketball: What Longhorns have been picked in the first round of the NBA Draft

Texas basketball player Dailyn Swain announced Tuesday that he will enter the 2026 NBA Draft after a breakout junior season. If he gets selected in the first round as projected, he’ll become the 21st player from Texas basketball picked in the first round. Swain followed coach Sean Miller from Xavier to Texas last offseason.

He led the Longhorns with averages of 17. 3 points and 7. 5 rebounds per game as well as 129 total assists and 59 total steals while earning second-team All-SEC honors .

He also led Texas in total minutes with 1,178 and played in all 36 games for a Sweet 16 team that ended the season with a 21-15 record. Swain also emerged as one of the best on-ball defenders on the roster. The 2026 NBA Draft takes place June 22 at Barclays Center.
