That remained true on Tuesday night in an odd Kevin Gausman sequence that led to an ejection for Toronto manager John Schneider. The simple thing that happened is that Gausman was called for a balk. Schneider came out of the dugout with one thing on his mind -- he went ballistic, was quickly tossed, and kept the heat coming.

It's a movement that umpires allow, as long as Gausman does then take a full pause before he throws home. In this case, the home plate umpire determined that Gausman hadn't paused long enough. The replay didn't look that different than usual, but it was a bit quick from Gausman.
