Boom Ball will make a stop at Jackson Field in downtown Lansing on July 4 as part of its nationwide tour.

Well an alternative is set to make its way to downtown Lansing this summer. Boom Ball, which was inspired by and has some similarities to Banana Ball, will make a stop to Jackson Field on July 4 as part of its nationwide tour The opening ceremonies will take place from 7-7:30 p.

m. with a game between the Lucky Llamas and Chaos Crew following from 7:30-9:30 p. m.

A stadium-wide light show and fireworks show will be part of the experience. Tickets start at $25 and go on sale at 7 p. m.

Sunday, April 12. "We're fired up to bring Boom Ball to Lansing for the 4th of July," Lansing Lugnuts general manager Zac Clark said. "Independence Day is special here with the whole community coming together for celebration and spectacle at Jackson Field and that's what Boom Ball is all about.
