AUGUSTA, Ga. — Bryson DeChambeau is building his own golf clubs. He's not working with any brands.

Just crafting golf clubs from scratch and using his mind to create what he wants to play with. "I am working on irons, building irons, building a driver," DeChambeau said Tuesday ahead of the 2026 Masters . "So we'll see where it goes, we'll see where it takes me.

All I could say now is, if I don't put them in the bag, it's my fault now. " It's unclear when DeChambeau plans to use his own golf clubs in competition, though they'll have to go through a lengthy process to get put on the USGA's Conforming Club list. But, that process is underway as DeChambeau continues to chase perfection in a sport where perfection is impossible.

Ahead of his second of consecutive victories at LIV Golf South Africa, DeChambeau made a change with his wedges, saying he was going down a rabbit hole to try new things. Which, for anyone who has followed DeChambeau's career, that's about as status quo as it gets. "I think it's the willingness to always try to improve," DeChambeau said.
