John Harbaugh hasn’t been the head coach of the New York Giants for very long, but he’s already dealing with drama. At the onset of New York’s offseason workout program, Giants star defensive end Dexter Lawrence requested a trade away from the team, hoping to continue his career elsewhere after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract with the Giants. It remains to be seen whether or not the Giants will actually grant Lawrence’s wish, but in the meantime, Harbaugh has to navigate through his first sticky situation as a member of the Giants.

Harbaugh addressed Lawrence’s situation with media members on Tuesday and expressed some optimism that the three-time Pro Bowler will remain a Giant.

"We'll find out,” Harbaugh said of the situation. “I think the prospects [of a return] are going to be high because the Giants, speaking for the Giants, we want Dexter here and I believe Dexter wants to be here. And that's a good formula.
