•Yahoo Sports

Michigan State senior Tiernan Shoudy has signed his first professional contract.

Michigan State saw their season come to a crushing end with an overtime loss to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament, where the Spartans fell just short of a Frozen Four appearance. Now, in the days following, the roster has been poached by professional teams. Obviously, professional development is outstanding for the program, and it is awesome to see Spartans get their chance at the next level, especially seniors.

One senior that just inked his first professional contract is Tiernan Shoudy, who has signed with the Wheeling Nailers for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Playing in 150 games in his MSU career, Shoudy scored 25 goals and added 40 assists in his career.

He is a native of St. Clair, Michigan. Congratulations to Tiernan Shoudy on signing a deal with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL for the remainder of the 2025-26 season!

Shoudy put up a career-best 20 points as a senior and won 310 faceoffs, good for a 54. 4% win percentage! pic.
