Kansas loses starting freshman big to transfer portal
The Jayhawks may lose forward Bryson Tiller this offseason, as he has entered the transfer portal after starting 31 games this season as a freshman.
USA TODAY noted the sizeable opportunity Kansas freshman Bryson Tiller had to become a frontcourt star for the Jayhawks once center Flory Bidunga entered the transfer portal. However, Tiller appears poised to follow Bidunga out of Lawrence, as he has also entered the transfer portal. Tiller started 31 out of 35 games for the Jayhawks, averaging just under eight points and just over six rebounds per game.
The 6'10", 240-pounder also swatted one shot per game on average. Kansas head coach Bill Self benched Tiller in a mid-March contest for a perceived lack of effort, which may or may not have factored into Tiller's decision. NEWS: Kansas' Bryson Tiller will enter the transfer portal, Seros Partners told DraftExpress.
The 6'10 power forward started 31 games as a freshman in the Big 12, averaging 7. 9 points and 6. 1 rebounds.
