Dan Hurley Admits He Made His Wife Leave UConn’s Final Four Game to Find His 'Lucky' Bracelet
The University of Connecticut head coach has been married to his wife, Andrea, for more than 25 years

Hurley and his wife Andrea Hurley recounted the "insane" journey to get his bracelet to the court on her Instagram Stories before UConn's national championship game on Monday, while giving a breakdown of their outfits. "So I got to the arena and my one job was to fix his lucky Jesus bead bracelet," Andrea, Dan's wife of more than 25 years, recalled, while explaining that the bracelet sometimes needs extra beads that she had brought along with them to Indianapolis for the tournament. And I noticed like 12 minutes before the game was about to start that I had no beads," Dan said. "I wish noticed that an hour and 12 minutes before the game started," joked Andrea.
Dan, who added that he had worn the bracelet during his high school coaching days over 20 years ago, said he was "freaking out," and had his assistant coach, Luke Murray , call Andrea to get the bracelet and bring it to the game. "You wanna know how the beads got there? " Andrea asked viewers in the video.
