Michigan State hockey picks up 2008 OHL commit

Michigan State has added another 2008 commit into their pipeline, adding a forward from the OHL.

Michigan State hockey has added to its recruitment pipeline, adding a new commitment from the junior ranks. Tyler Challenger has made the announcement that he will be headed to East Lansing to play his collegiate hockey. A 6-foot-2, 200 pound forward from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, he is a left-handed shot that spent this past year with both the Erie Otters and Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League.

A 2008-born player, he is draft eligible in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. A North York Rangers AAA player in 2023-24, he scored 83 points in 68 games. Since then, he moved on to the OHL for the past two seasons, where he has compiled 17 goals and 11 assists.
