Do NY Giants fans think their team should trade Dexter Lawrence?

There was really only one question we could ask for this week’s fan survey: Should the Giants trade Dexter Lawrence?
The question isn’t an easy one to answer. Lawrence is considered a foundation piece for the Giants’ defensive front, and a vital for their defense to rebound after a pair of bad seasons under Shane Bowen. While Lawrence had a down season (by his standards) in 2025, playing through a lingering elbow injury and seeming to be overweight, he was still the Giants’ best defensive tackle.
If Lawrence is able to return to the level at which he played from 2022 until suffering the dislocated elbow in 2024, he and Darius Alexander could be a very good starting duo. In that case, Lawrence would be well worth a pay raise. On the other hand, the Giants could quickly come to regret giving Lawrence more money if Lawrence is truly in decline.
Its possible that this is the highest his trade value will ever be if he has another down season as he approaches 30 years old. Replacing a healthy and motivated Dexter Lawrence is difficult at best, however replacing a declining and malcontent Lawrence might be in the Giants’ best interest. That could be particularly true if the team is able to get a good return for him.
