Georgia unretired Dominique Wilkins' No. 21 jersey for his son to wear, but Jake Wilkins is moving on after his first season.

A legacy true freshman is leaving the Georgia basketball program after one season. Jake Wilkins, son of NBA Hall of Famer Dominque Wilkins, has entered the transfer portal per On3's Joe Tipton. Wilkins appeared in 32 games this season, averaging 10.

2 minutes, 4. 9 points and 1. 8 rebounds.

He scored five points in Georgia 's first-round NCAA tournament loss to Saint Louis, going 1 of 3 from the field. Now, the 6-foot-9 former top 50 recruit will play his sophomore season elsewhere. Before his Hall of Fame professional career, the elder Wilkins was an All-American at Georgia.

The school notably unretired his No. 21 jersey so his son could wear it, but it seems he will only do so for one season. NEWS: Georgia forward Jake Wilkins, the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Dominique Wilkins, is entering the @TransferPortal , he told @On3 .
