Former Falcons WR signs with Buccaneers in free agency
Former Falcons WR David Sills reunites with Buccaneers OC Zac Robinson in Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver David Sills V, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday. Sills appeared in 17 games for the Falcons last season, recording career highs in receptions (18), receiving yards (191) and touchdowns (two). The 29-year-old will reunite with former Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson in Tampa Bay next season.
Sills wasn't considered one of Atlanta's top free agents, but some felt he would return due to the team's lack of depth at the wide receiver position. Sills, a former undrafted free agent, made his NFL debut with the New York Giants in 2021. Over four seasons, Sills has recorded 31 catches for 314 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Giants, Falcons and Denver Broncos.
The Falcons hired head coach Kevin Stefanski during the offseason, and while he retained defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, the team did not bring back Robinson as offensive coordinator. The Bucs hired Robinson as a replacement for Josh Grizzard. Robinson and Sills will get to face off against Atlanta twice in 2026, taking the NFC South rivalry to another level.
