Report indicates what top prospect the Jets are leaning towards taking at No. 2 overall.

The No. 2 pick held by the New York Jets at the 2026 NFL draft is still up in the air. There is no prospect considered a "lock" to be taken by the team.

However, many think the selection could either be linebacker Arvell Reese from Ohio State or Texas Tech edge defender David Bailey. A conversation on ESPN between analyst Peter Schrager and NFL Network's draft guru Daniel Jeremiah in a roundtable debated which of the two the Jets would prefer. According to their reports, it's Bailey.

The report can be found in the clip below: Two prominent NFL insiders with evidence to suggest the Jets are leaning David Bailey, not Arvell Reese, second overall. (Cc: @MoveTheSticks / @PSchrags ) pic. twitter.
