Myles Bailey has released a statement after suffering a season-ending injury. He thanked everyone for their support and vowed to keep helping FSU.
Florida State first baseman Myles Bailey issued a statement on Tuesday addressing the season-ending injury he suffered against the Duke Blue Devils last Saturday. To Nole Nation and everyone who has reached out with messages of encouragement, thank you. The outpouring of love has meant the world to me during a really difficult time.
I am heartbroken that my season has come to an end and I'm still processing all the emotions that come with that. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Guyer, the staff at TH, and our great trainers at FSU for their world-class care.
I also want to thank my family and incredible support system in Tallahassee for being with me through the successful surgery and this beginning stage of my healing process. Even though I can't be out there battling with my teammates on the field, am proud of how this team has responded and rallied together this last week. It once again shows the makeup of this group.
My role may be different now but I will do everything I can to support my guys from the sidelines to help us win.
