The Baltimore Ravens have taken some heat from around the league after their failed pursuit of Maxx Crosby, and it's understandable why some around the league could be frustrated about what happened.

The Ravens were supposed to send two first-round picks to the Raiders for Crosby, making it one of the biggest deals of the past few years. The Raiders would have been giving up their star edge rusher, and Baltimore would have been giving up a significant haul. However, instead of that happening, the Ravens backed out of the trade due to a failed medical exam and instead signed Trey Hendrickson.

According to Mike Sando of The Athletic, multiple executives around the league don't think that happened without something going on behind the scenes. โ€œI donโ€™t think weโ€™ll ever find out the answer,โ€ an exec from another team said. โ€œI would not put it past them to agree to this trade and then slow-play the physical.

โ€ In most cases, once a trade is agreed upon, the process moves quickly. โ€œIf you really wanted the guy, you would get him in there for his physical as soon as possible,โ€ another exec said. โ€œYou would pull your doctors off whatever they were doing.
